Resolved!

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Deb.

For this week's Booking Through Thursday, we're asked a fairly simple question:

Any reading resolutions for the new year? Reading more? (Reading less?) Reading better books? Bigger books? More series? More relaxing books?
And hey, feel free to talk about any other resolutions you might have, too … or why you choose NOT to have any.

Personally, I plan to read more books than I did last year - 50 books atleast. I also want to broaden my scope and try diverse subgenres of Young Adult fiction. I want to try fairytale-retellings especially.  And since I've read so few contemporary titles that I can probably count on one hand (I haven't read anything by Sarah Dessen, for crying out loud), there's another resolution: read more contemp.

That's about it; I'm an avid booknerd, and my yearly resolution always involves reading more, more and MORE. :)
Feel free to share your resolutions for the new year!

Thank you for dropping by. Maybe you should try to read more from the adult section.

Hi Melissa!
No prob! And the only adult books I've read are Dan Brown titles! I'm still only a teen! :D

As far as how many books I will read this year, I don't know, maybe 50, maybe 100+ time will tell, but I am going for more relaxed reading, and reading books from my own pile of books I have waiting to be read. I hope you reach your goals for 2013.

I'm aiming for 30 but I would love to read 50 this year. Good luck!

I try not to focus on the number of books to read in the year...but I've noticed that each year I read more than the previous one.

But I will be making some changes, and you can read about them here at

Hello there!
So true - mostly we get caught up in new releases every month and forget the books begging to be read in our TBR pile! Thanks for the comment, and for stopping by my blog! :)

I'm not setting a numbers goal, I am setting a less book tours goal. I want to get back to reading because I love it, not because I've said I'd review something.

There's a lot of good contemporary books out there, so you'll have fun :)

If it makes you feel any better....who is Sarah Dessen? Clearly I haven't read any of hers either. Should I be concerned about this?

Thanks so much for the comment! Have a nice day! :D

Hi Holly!
That's a smart goal! It's true that we should focus more on actual reading, and less on tours, giveaways, and all the misc. extensions!
Thanks for dropping by!

Hi there!
I can't believe I'm not the only one who hasn't read Sarah Dessen! :D She's known as the queen of YA contemporary. All her books are supposed to be really great!
You should try out some of her books like I will! :)
Thanks for the comment!
