Goodreads Synopsis

I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.

Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

This series is beautiful. I'm a huge fan of Lauren Oliver's style of writing; she shows her talent in her stand-alone best-selling novel, Before I Fall, as well. And combined with a mesmerizing plot and a realistic main character, Delirium is a series you just cannot say no to.
The setting is in post-apocalyptic New York, where the government has convinced the people that love is a disease, and everyone must be Cured of it when they turn into adults. Lena is about to have herself Cured, when...she falls in love. With an Invalid, an Uncured outcast. And then she discovers that everything she has been taught her whole life is false.
The second book, Pandemonium, lives up to its name. I felt that the real dystopia feel starts here. The previous book lacked true dystopian action. In Pandemonium, there is a lot of survival happening and we also get to see some major character development. New characters are introduced who play important parts in the book. And I think Lauren Oliver does a great job in delivering Lena's thoughts and emotions to us. The last word at the end of the book will have you screaming in anticipation of the third installment, Requiem.

Hi Momo!
Firstly, thank you sooo much for the follow! You're a star!
Yay! I always love meeting others who love the same books I do! Lauren Oliver's writing style is breathtaking, isn't it? EEEEK, Requiem! Who do you think Lena will choose between - Alex or Julian?

Love,
Erfa
