Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the folks at The Broke And The Bookish. This week's list is all about our Top Ten Favorite Kick-Ass Heroines.

Hmmm... I'm not sure I can come up with ten kick-ass heroines I really like. Not because I've got really strict filters or something - it's actually because I haven't yet come across ten such heroines whom I tag as my favourites. I have only a handful of favourite characters (what can I say, I'm kinda picky), so here's my short list of those fictional ladies who seriously know how to kick butt and then some.

- Vampire Academy series (Richelle Mead)

Tris - Divergent series (Veronica Roth)

(Cool picture, huh?)

Katniss - Hunger Games trilogy (Suzanne Collins)

Alex - Covenant series (Jennifer L. Armentrout)

Lena - Delirium series (Lauren Oliver)

Janelle -
Unraveling series (Elizabeth Norris)

(Yes! The cover of Unbreakable (Unraveling #2) is out! Don't you lurve it? I totally do!)

We all know this one :)  A true Gryffindor, the smartest witch of her age, without whom Harry and Ron couldn't have made it till the end.

Sydney - Bloodlines series (Richelle Mead)

One of my all-time favourite characters, from one of my all-time favourite series.

Meghan - Iron Fey series (Julie Kagawa)

That's all I can come up with. I'm pretty sure I'm not missing anyone out. I did think of Allison (Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa), and Destiny (Destiny's Fire by Trisha Wolfe) but they're not exactly my favourites. What's your opinion of my list? Share your list of kick-ass heroines!

Great list! Love that you included pictures too. I haven't read Vampire Academy, though I've met the author and she signed the first book for me. Need to bump that up on my to be read list!

Hi Kimberly!
I'm so glad you liked the list! Wow, you've met Richelle Mead and got the first book signed by her? That's awesomesauce! What won't I do to meet my favourite authors as well!
Kimberly, if you've read the Covenant series by Jennifer Armentout, you'll love Vampire Academy. It has a great plot and greater characters; and no sparkly vampires or crybaby heroines! :) Hope you get to read it soon!

Thanks a lot for the comment, and for stopping by my blog!

Great list! I agree with all the names I recognize. I want to read Divergent but haven't gotten around it.

New follow.

Got the chance to read Hunger Games recently. And I'm glad you added Katniss to this list. :)
I still have to get my hands on a copy of the Vampire Academy. Heard a lot about it. Can't wait! :D

Hi Alima!

I'm sure you enjoyed the Hunger Games, didn't you? I agree - no list of kickbutt heroines can be complete without Katniss in the picture. :D
Thanks so much for the comment! See you at school tomorrow! ^_^
